venetian blinds, nothing to shoot, and sensitivity to light.

Something that will always catch my eye (it doesn’t matter where I am– I’ve stopped dead in my tracks amongst a group of friends to capture photos like these) is lighting and shadows.

The duality of light and dark, harsh and soft, and bright and muted will always be an indescribable beauty. The presence of shadows makes a photograph intriguing and the light source is essential as it needs to appropriately light the subject that will then cast a shadow.

There’s something that draws people in when looking at photographs that have shadows… shadows add depth to a picture. Coincidentally– without me noticing, all of these photos have some play on lighting. It’s safe to assume my subconscious notices shadows before I do.
